The Role

Being a Learning support assistant for a college in Basildon to facilitate the learning of students and enable their access to the curriculum. LSA’s deliver support to students studying on programmes ranging from Entry Level to Level 3. This will often be dedicated to support to an identified learner who requires 1-1 support, the expectation is that LSA’s will also provide access to support for other identified learners in the class who may have an Education Health and Care Plan in place, You will support students with a range of disabilities that include physical, health, emotional and behavioural and learning difficulties.

  • Working either full-time or part-time
  • Working Monday to Friday
  • Working 8:30am -3.30pm

You will need the following:

  • A level 2 in Maths and English
  • DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
  • Experience of working with children or adults with SEND

You will have a dedicated local consultant who has an in depth understanding of the schools in your area. You will also supported by a fantastic team who are here to meet your needs every step of the way. 4myschools operates a full out of hours service and our office is open from 7am to 5:30pm.

We will always treat you as a valued member of the 4myschools team. You will have a choice of how you would like to be paid, including our PAYE with no weekly fee’s or employers tax costs passed onto you. We pay fairly and transparently, and wherever possible will pay to scale ensuring that we meet Agency Worker Regulations after 12 weeks with a school. You are paid weekly in arrears, receiving an online payslip with a weekly pay showing your HMRC deductions and holiday pay breakdown.
