- Are you a Cover Supervisor looking for local work in Chelmsford or surrounding areas of Essex? Or hold some experience working with children in another capacity and would like to work as a Cover Supervisor?
- Would you be interested in either a full time or part-time positions or ad-hoc supply days?
- Are you confident covering secondary school key stages in a supervisory capacity?
We are looking for secondary Cover Supervisors to provide general cover in a number of schools throughout Chelmsford and surrounding areas. You will supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are absent. The cover supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.
This is on a daily supply basis, working from 1 day a week, up to 5 days a week depending on your availability. However, Long term roles are also currently available with the potential turn into a permanent role for the right person.
As the ideal Cover Supervisor you will:
-Have experience working in secondary schools; ideally in a mixture of key stages and subjects.
-Demonstrate positive behaviour management strategies
-Be flexible and reliable to take on last minute bookings
-Competent to manage your own diary, with a mixture of pre-booked supply days and morning calls
-Be prepared for every day to be entirely different to the last!
