Contract Learning Support Assistant Colchester Essex
Learning Support Assistant Colchester Essex
Vacancy Details: Learning Support Assistant Colchester Essex
Flexible supply: Monday – Friday
Daily rate: £67.00 – £80.00 per day
A position has become available to work as a KS1 LSA in a village school, with support staff and a focus on providing excellent education and development opportunities.
The school is looking for a forward thinking LSA to join their team and provide top quality support to the teachers and students. The school has focused plans on developing the school and further improving their identified strengths, such as their support for SEND and disadvantaged children.
As the successful LSA, you will be working to provide whole class, small group and 1:1 support to the children and working as part of a dedicated team in the classroom made up of the teacher and a TA.
You will be helping the children access the learning activities, promoting engagement in the lesson by incorporating individual interests and offering alternative explanations or further challenging questions to individuals depending on their understanding of the task at hand. All of this is with a holistic approach that supports the children as a ‘whole’; helping them progress educationally but also socially and emotionally.
There will be some break and lunchtime duty involved in your responsibilities and also… chaperoning the individual children to on-site dog therapy sessions!
The school is easily commutable by car from both Clacton and Colchester, and the surrounding villages.
This would be an ideal position for an experienced LSA looking for their next career move or an aspiring teacher who would like to gain some class-based experience in a friendly and supportive school, where the staff are proud to work and positive about the future.
