Daily Rate: £70-£80
I am currently working with a primary school in Ipswich who are looking for an LSA to join their team ASAP or from September.
They are looking for an experienced LSA to support a year 1 little boy with ASD, he is currently in school for the mornings, this will increase to full days. The role is either part time or full time. The child does have behaviours that challenge and requires someone who will take the time to connect with him to get the best from him.
You will be working both outside and within the mainstream class to provide an individual and tailored lesson/activity. This child does have an EHCP and has additional curriculum activities which are specific to the child’s individual needs.
Your main responsibilities will include working on a 1:1 basis to provide personalised support, working 1:1 allows for very individual support.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will be liaising with the class teacher, SENDCO and if applicable, other professionals to ensure the child you are working with has the best possible opportunity to learn and grow in confidence.
The position is either Part -Time or Full- time 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday-Friday term time only.
You will need to have the following:
- Experience of behaviour that challenges
- ASD experience
- Calm and patient demeanour
- DBS or willing to have one

We pay fairly and transparently, and wherever possible will pay to scale ensuring that we meet Agency Worker Regulations after 12 weeks with a school. You are paid weekly in arrears, receiving an online payslip with a weekly pay showing your HMRC deductions and holiday pay breakdown.
