Learning Support Assistant-Maldon
4myschools are recruiting a Learning Support Assistant-Maldon on behalf of a really popular Primary school in the Maldon/Danbury area who are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with a child on a 1-1 basis. The child is in year 3 and on the Autistic spectrum and ADHD traits the child is very bright and doing really well with current staff.
The school are very organised with support plans in place for the child, the SENCO and class teacher are very supportive
The position is Full Time 8-30am – 3.30pm 5 Days a week.
The ideal applicant
- Will have experience of working within a primary school environment is preferable but not essential.
- Ideally have experience with SEN
- Have some experience in behavioural management
- Has the ability to develop strong relationships with pupils and staff.
- Creative, patient, empathic and adaptable
- Ideally a have TA/LSA qualification or equivalent or a graduate (not essential)
- A genuine passion for supporting children is essential
- A DBS or willingness to obtain one (we can do this for you)
The role
- You will be working with a pupil in year 3 on an individual basis
- Setting up the classroom in preparation for the pupil arriving
- Communicating with the Teacher/SENCO effectively
