Daily rate: £75 per day
4myschools are working with a FE setting, with a fantastic reputation for inclusivity and accessibility. The FE setting is made up of a number of college campuses located in towns in South Essex.
We are currently recruiting Learning Support specialists to join their large team and provide dedicated 1:1 support to learners with an EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) and identified needs, to facilitate the learning of students and enable their access to the curriculum. LSA’s deliver support to students studying on programmes ranging from Entry Level to Level 3
Your rota will be developed in order for you to support an individual learner throughout your working week, however, you will may find that some of your time dedicated to help other students. This is due to the FE timetable not requiring students to be in school all day everyday and the college wanting the students to benefit from your skills and expertise.
You will support students who have a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), including:
- Physical disabilities
- Health and wellbeing needs (medical needs such as administering medication will not be part of your responsibilities)
- Learning disabilities
What to expect
- Working either full-time or part-time (minimum hours being 13 hours a week and maximum hours being 37.5 hours a week)
- Working Monday to Friday
- Working 8:30am -3.30pm
You will need the following:
- Level 2 in Maths and English
- DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)
- Experience of working with children or adults with SEND

You will have a choice of how you would like to be paid, including our PAYE with no weekly fee’s or employers tax costs passed onto you. We pay fairly and transparently, and wherever possible will pay to scale ensuring that we meet Agency Worker Regulations after 12 weeks with a school.
