Daily Rate: £70 – £85 per day

The role:
4myschools are recruiting an SEN LSA to join a Primary School in the Highwoods area of Colchester to provide 1:1 support to a child in Year 2. The child has an EHCP for ASD with areas of development being social and emotional.
The child is achieving academically but finds social interactions with peers very difficult. When triggered the child presents with behaviours that challenge. They shout, use inappropriate language, become verbally aggressive and hit out.
The school are ideally looking or a SEN LSA who has knowledge of a range of strategies to work with children with behaviours that challenge.

As the ideal SEN LSA, you will:
- Grade 9-4 (or A-C) in GCSE Maths and English
- Have experience working with children with ASD
- Experience supporting children in schools preferred but not essential
- Demonstrate positive behaviour management strategies
- Be flexible and reliable
- Have competencies in building rapport and liaising with the children you teach and fellow professionals you work alongside.
- Have an Enhanced, Child workforce, Disclosure, that is on the update service. This is preferred but not essential as we can help you apply for this
