A temporary position has become available to join a large Primary School in Braintree as a SEND LSA. The school is Ofsted rated GOOD and are working towards outstanding.
The role is to work with a 6-year-old child who needs support for SEMH needs. The child is suffering with trauma and the school are looking for an experienced LSA who is committed to providing continuity of support to the child at school. The child is working with the EYFS and thoroughly enjoys outdoor play. The child is engaged when at school but can have bouts of anxiety and agitation. At these times, the child can become verbally and physically aggressive and you will have the full support of the SLT when this occurs. The school are looking to provide an experienced LSA to support the child for 5 mornings a week (8:30am-12pm) from 12th April 2021.

The school are ideally looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working with one or all the following:
• SEMH
• Trauma
• Attachment issues
• LAC
• EYFS and KS1

As part of the EYFS team you will be working alongside the class teacher and 2 other very experienced LSA’s.

• Have a confident grasp of literacy and numeracy
• Show initiative and understanding
• Be flexible, patient and engaging
• Have excellent communications skills

The successful applicant will:

• Hold a valid Enhanced DBS Disclosure
• Be eligible to work in the UK
• Be able to start immediately and hit the ground running
