The Role

We wish to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic Site Manager to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will ensure that the school is well maintained, safe and clean in line with Health and Safety Regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience of working as a Site Manager/Caretaker in a school environment.

The Academy is committed to safeguarding and prompting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful candidates will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check and all necessary safeguarding checks before employment commences.


For this role you are representing the school as a site manager, some of the many requirements for this role consist of :

  • Numeracy and literacy qualifications at Level 2 or above (Legionella and Asbestos Awareness Training)
  • Experience of and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as having experience in the following areas:
  • Evaluating and managing contractors
  • Facilities and operations super vision in education sector
  • Experience in site maintenance, compliance and caretaking
  • To report any breaches of Health and Safety regulations to Operations Manager as required and in accordance with the School Health and Safety Policy.
  • PAT testing (training will be given to be able to undertake this task)


  • Scale Points 7- 11 of the Support Staff Salary Scale
  • FTE: £20,092 – £21,748 per annum

Annual holiday entitlement for full-time support staff is 33 days (including bank holidays), rising to 37 days after 5 years’ service.  Holiday entitlement is pro-rata for employees who work less than 52 weeks per year and/or less than 37 hours per week.
