4myschools are recruiting for an Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join a Primary school in the Thetford area to start ASAP. The role is to work in a provision unit within the mainstream school dedicated to supporting Primary age children with SEMH needs to integrate them back into the mainstream classroom. The unit is led by a Qualified Teacher with 2 other support staff. Strong behaviour management is essential.

This role will go permanent for the right candidate.

• Show dedication, enthusiasm and commitment
• Experience of working with individuals with SEN in particular those with SEMH
• Training in de-escalation and conflict resolution
• Training in interventions that support children in speech, language and communication
• Understanding of the key role played by support staff in the education of children
• A holistic, inclusive and positive approach

• A good level of numeracy, grammar and literacy
• Effective communication skills
• A desire to see children succeed
