Secondary Supply Teacher Essex

Job Description

Specialist LSA required Southend

Vacancy details: Specialist LSA required Southend

Required from: ASAP

4myschools require a learning support assistant with experience of working 1:1 and with small groups of pupils who have specific learning needs and/or complex medical conditions as well as those with ASD and social, emotional and behaviour difficulties.

The role will be supporting a child or young person with severe physical disabilities and/or personal care needs. This involves manual handling between physical aids, changing and tube feeding; therefore prior experience and training in these areas would be an advantage. You will also be required to support the pupil to access learning both inside and outside their classroom environment.

Across the week, the role may also encompass some traditional ‘class TA’ work as well as 1 to 1 and small group support for other pupils with complex special education needs and disabilities within the school. This is a diverse and exciting role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our pupils and join our hard working, dedicated team.

  • You will:

    • Relish the challenge of supporting children with specific and complex needs to succeed.
    • Be resilient, use your initiative and be flexible to adapt to pupils’ changing needs.
    • Work collaboratively with dynamic, forward thinking staff with high aspirations for our children.
    • Show commitment to your own professional development and be willing to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the school and its pupils.

The Schools offer a caring, friendly and welcoming environment and are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of their children.

What we can do for you…

You will have a dedicated local consultant who has an in depth understanding of the schools in your area, supported by a fantastic team who are here to meet your needs every step of the way.

In times where flexible working is becoming more important to encourage a real work-life balance, 4myschools understand this and are working closely with ‘updatedge’ who provide a fantastic app that allows you to instantly update your own availability directly from your smart phone, which in turn is shared with our office systems. This gives you full flexibility to manage your own weekly calendar and pick up work when you want it.
