I am working with a Primary school in Brentwood who are looking for a teaching assistant to work on either a full time or part time basis helping pupils within the classroom. You will be supporting the class teacher during lessons. The role is 8:30am- 3pm 2-5 days per week, term time only, salary starts at £75 per day.  The role is to start from September 2022, there is potential for the role to be permanent for the right candidate.

The ideal applicant

  • Will have experience of working within a primary school environment is preferable but not essential.
  • Has the ability to develop strong relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Creative, patient, empathic and adaptable
  • Ideally a have TA qualification or equivalent or a graduate (not essential) A genuine passion for supporting children is essential
  • A DBS or willingness to obtain one (we can do this for you)

The role

  • The position is to work in a mainstream primary school on a part time basis for the whole academic year
  • You will be working with the class teacher and supporting them in delivering the lessons, working in small groups or working on a 1:1 basis.
  • Setting up the classroom in preparation for the pupils arriving
  • Communicating with the Teacher effectively

As a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant you will be working as part of team of Teaching Assistant’s and Learning Support Assistant’s across the school.

The school is extremely well liked by teachers, Teaching Assistants and SEN Learning Support Assistant’s alike; all of whom provided excellent feedback saying what a wonderful school it is to work in.

Behaviour in school is very good as it is well managed and supported by senior staff.

Experience is not essential but a genuine passion for support and helping pupils is a must. You will need to have an enhanced, child workforce DBS or be happy to apply for one through us and eligibility to work in the UK.

You will have a dedicated local consultant who has an in depth understanding of the schools in your area, supported by a fantastic team who are here to meet your needs every step of the way. 4myschools operates a full out of hours service and our office is open from 7am to 5:30pm.

We will always treat you as a valued member of the 4myschools team. You will have a choice of how you would like to be paid, including our PAYE with no weekly fee’s or employers tax costs passed onto you. We pay fairly and transparently, and wherever possible will pay to scale ensuring that we meet Agency Worker Regulations after 12 weeks with a school. You are paid weekly in arrears, receiving an online payslip with a weekly pay showing your HMRC deductions and holiday pay breakdown.
